'Did I read that right', 'You're kidding me' - Many THFC fans gobsmacked as 'mad' rumour emerges

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted with disbelief after hearing that their club is set to pay Adama Traore £120k per week.  

Indeed, as reported by GiveMeSport, Spurs have agreed to make the Wolves man their fourth-highest-paid player ahead of a deal that would see him join on loan before moving permanently in the summer.

The article goes on to explain that after ‘lengthy talks’ with the Spain star, a breakthrough in negotiations has arrived and Antonio Conte looks set to finally land his man.

Details of the touted wage were shared online by Daily Hotspur and it soon drew plenty of comments from the club’s fanbase.

According to Spotrac, this paycheck would mean only Harry Kane, Tanguy Ndombele, and Son Heung-min would be making more than Traore in the entire Tottenham squad.

If that is the case, he will certainly arrive with a fair amount of expectation already upon his shoulders. Even so, perhaps his signing could be the difference between the club making the top four this season and not – but only time will tell.
