Dermatologist shares three easy tips to reverse hair loss and thinning
A Harvard-educated dermatologist and skin cancer surgeon unveiled her top three "hair hacks" for achieving thicker, fuller, and longer locks.
With many grappling with hair loss and thinning, the quest for effective remedies is prevalent. Dr Neera, who has personally battled with hair thinning and loss, is now sharing her expertise online to aid others in their journey to regrow or enhance their hair.
In a recent TikTok video, she revealed three tactics to reclaim lost hair: using a laser device, employing a dermaroller, and performing scalp massages with a topical solution.
She elaborated in her video's caption: "As a dermatologist who has struggled with thinning hair, I know first hand how emotional it can feel when you start to lose your hair. While less is more when it comes to skincare, more is (usually) more when it comes to successfully treating hair loss."
The expert added integrating tools like low level laser therapy (LLLT), dermarollers, and scalp massagers could boost the effectiveness of a hair growth regimen that includes topical minoxidil or prescription treatments.
Dr Neera advocates for LLLT, noting that it "has been studied for hormonal hair loss (androgenetic alopecia)" and can be used solo or alongside other methods to augment hair density and diminish shedding.
