Derby County set for more transfer business as shock Rangers link emerges

A round-up of the latest Derby County headlines on Monday, July 18...

Liam Rosenior is still looking to bolster his Derby County squad with experienced players but wants to give youth a chance this season.

The Rams' interim boss completed his 11th signing of the summer when former Bristol City midfielder Korey Smith became the latest addition. Smith was in the stands to watch as the Rams secured a second successive pre-season win and clean sheet, this time against Hertha Berlin. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing scored late in the first half to secure a 1-0 victory.

Derby County are reportedly 'considering' a loan move for Rangers forward Kemar Roofe.

The 29-year-old has spent the last two years north of the border but saw the most recent season disrupted by injuries. Roofe did manage to score an impressive 16 goals across all competitions, though, as the Glasgow giants were defeated in the Europa League final.
