Deontay Wilder's legs have stunned fans again in new training footage

Deontay Wilder, the former WBC heavyweight champion with a record of 41-2-1 from his 45 professional fights, struggles to gain the respect and support of a lot of British fight fans.

In fact, it’s probably safe to say a lot of boxing fans don’t give the Bronze Bomber the respect he truly deserves for what he’s done for the division, especially given his highlight reel of knockouts and the fact he’s only lost twice.

He has only failed to win on three occasions during his professional career and all three of them came against Tyson Fury. As we all know, they drew the first fight before the Gypsy King was victorious in the following two.

Therein lies the problem for a lot of these very capable heavyweight fighters, they aren’t Tyson Fury.

Fury claims to be retired, but the likelihood is he will go back on that decision (again) for a fight against Oleksandr Usyk following the Ukrainian’s defeat of Anthony Joshua.

That then leaves the rest of the heavyweight division to fight for attention and pay-per-views from the captive boxing audience.

Wilder is next back in the ring against Robert Helenius on October 15, a year after his knockout defeat to Fury. The Nordic Nightmare has a 31-3 record from his 34 fights, but should be swept aside by the American as he looks to get his career back on track after those two convincing defeats against Fury.
