Deontay Wilder 'considering' stunning return to boxing after back-to-back defeats to Tyson Fury

Deontay Wilder could make a stunning return to boxing.

The Bronze Bomber, 36, is currently on a two-fight skid following back-to-back defeats to WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, prompting speculation about his future in the sport.

However, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman recently claimed he could return to the ring before the end of the year.

And Wilder has confirmed he is seriously considering a comeback as he insists the sport is not the same without him in it and would love another chance at becoming a world champion again.

Wilder told Premier Boxing Champions’ YouTube channel: “There’s one thing about it when you have a strong, powerful, outspoken and exciting heavyweight as myself. Boxing is beautiful. When you have an exciting American heavyweight boxing thrives.

“I’m living proof. This is what people are witnessing right now. When you don’t have a heavyweight like that there no more and stuff like that, things start to die down.

“I’ve even had guys that’s in the heavyweight division reach out and say ‘champ the division is not the same without you’.

“‘We need our champ back. Boxing is dead. It’s boring without you’.

“But you know I’m definitely considering coming back. 

“This is something that we’re trying to figure out and get things situated. I just felt like a re-boost for my career and coming back for the people.

“I mean when they gave me my statue and to see so many people come out and express themselves on what it meant to them.

“I see so many different messages thanking me for being who I am, not being fake, being real and true to myself and to others, thanking me for being relatable.

“You know how I made it out of struggle can still motivate them and inspire them to be great.
