Dejan Kulusevski's new name for Cristian Romero after Tottenham defender's Leicester masterclass

Cristian Romero delivered one of his best performances in a Tottenham shirt on Sunday afternoon as they got back on track with a 3-1 victory over Leicester City. Making his mark in N17 since his summer switch from Italian side Atalanta, the Argentina international came out of the game with plenty of praise following a towering performance.

The 24-year-old was sensational across the 90 minutes and produced a number of timely tackles, blocks and interceptions to help out his team, as well as also pushing on regularly to give his Tottenham teammates another option in the final third. Let's go @spursofficial," wrote the defender on his Instagram account, with the Swede dubbing him as "Cuti Beckenbauer" in the replies following his defensive masterclass.

Franz Beckenbauer is regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of football, captaining West Germany to glory in the 1972 European Championship and also the World Cup two years later. For Romero to be compared to one of the all-time greats by Kulusevski is quite something.
