"Definitely one Spurs will look at" - Journalist drops exciting claim on "phenomenal" £35m star

Tottenham will definitely look at signing Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma in this upcoming summer transfer window, according to The Daily Express journalist Ryan Taylor.

The Mali international has long been linked with a move away from the Seagulls, with reports back in January suggesting that he was being considered by Aston Villa.

It then emerged last month that Antonio Conte’s side would rival Villa for Bissouma’s signature this summer, with the 25-year-old’s contract coming to an end next season.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Taylor claimed that Spurs securing Champions League football on the final day of the season now makes a potential move for the midfielder a “realistic” possibility for them to consider.

He said: “If he’s a player that Conte likes, he certainly will help save some of the finances for some other signings given that he’s probably not going to cost any more than £30m to £35m.

“Definitely one Spurs will look at, and given he wants to play in the Champions League, it’s probably a realistic avenue. But at the moment, nothing concrete to suggest that will happen.”

Given Conte’s tactical demands of playing three-at-the-back, having a dynamic midfield duo becomes just that much more important for the Italian, and in Bissouma, he can find one of the Premier League’s best.
