"Definitely" - Journalist drops big claim on West Brom fans after another Steve Bruce defeat

West Brom fans have every right to be frustrated with the current situation at the Hawthorns, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The Baggies are in a terrible run of form and continued their slide down the Championship table following a 2-0 defeat to Swansea on Monday night.

It really has been a diabolical few months for the Baggies. They started 2022 with the top-two in their sights, but some two months later they’re sitting in the bottom-half of the standings.

Not even the sacking of Valerien Ismael has led to an upturn in fortunes, with West Brom collecting one point from Steve Bruce’s five games in charge.

Perhaps even more concerning is the fact that they’ve scored just once in those five matches, with Jayson Molumby’s opener at Middlesbrough their only goal in their last 10-and-a-half hours of second-tier football.

Their latest setback came against Swansea as Bruce’s men mustered up just one shot on target in the 90 minutes and were eventually beaten by two late goals from the Welsh outfit.

As a result, West Brom are now 13th, their lowest league position all season, and are a massive eight points behind the top-six.

The 2-0 defeat was greeted with a chorus of boos from the Hawthorns faithful, and O’Rourke said that he understands their disappointment.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “You can definitely understand the frustration from the fans, another defeat to Swansea and Steve Bruce is yet to record a victory in his first five games in charge.”

However, with teams around them hitting form, they cannot afford to drop many more points if they want even a chance of taking
