Defender announces Motherwell departure with 'thanks' to fans
Bevis Mugabi has announced his departure from Motherwell, after failing to agree a new contract with the club.
The Ugandan international was one of five players offered new deals last month when the Fir Park club announced their summer departures.
Mugabi, 29, said in a statement: “After five years my time at Motherwell has come to an end.
“To all the players I’ve had the pleasure of sharing a changing room with over the years, it’s truly been a pleasure.
“To all the managers that I’ve played under and staff that have made the club tick and run smoothly in the background, I’d like to say a massive thank you to your commitment.
“Most importantly to the fans that made Motherwell feel like my home away from home. The support you’ve given me personally, and the club, during the highs and the lows has been truly unbelievable.
“I’m truly grateful to have played over 100+ games for this incredible club, which I hold dear to my heart!
“Wishing you all the best in the future - mon the Well.”
