David Walliams divides viewers as he's outshone on The One Show by adorable guest

David Walliams is used to being the centre of attention when it comes to his telly work but that wasn't the case on The One Show on Thursday night (May 5). The Britain's Got Talent judge appeared on the famous green sofa alongside singer Jack Savoretti and another special guest.

He brought along one of his border terriers, Ernie, for the interview on the BBC One magazine show which was being hosted by Alex Scott and Ronan Keating.

The former Little Britain was on the programme to chat about his latest children's book, The Worlds Worst Pets, hence him bringing his own pet pooch along who was very well behaved.

Before chatting about his latest tale, David, 50, was quizzed on the reported wedding of his BGT boss Simon Cowell. The 62-year-old music mogul and talent show judge is said to have popped the question to girlfriend Lauren Silverman on Christmas Eve during a holiday in Barbados.

Appearing on The One Show, David was asked whether he was best man as it's been reported that the wedding is due to take place in London next month. He replied "No" before adding of the media reports: "I don’t know if that is actually true."

He went on: "Basically, he got to 62 without ever getting married so I don’t know if he is in a rush to get married. But it will be wonderful if I do get invited. I hope so, but he might keep it very small." Alex then told him: "You need to get in touch with that wedding planner, imagine."

Speaking about American socialite Lauren, David replied: "I think she will want a big wedding. I don’t imagine it will be a small thing,"
