David de Gea's 'stance' on Manchester United contract offers and more transfer rumours

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is reportedly 'happy' at Old Trafford, but has been left 'unsatisfied' with the club's contract offers.

According to Football Insider, the Spanish shot-stopper is yet to reach an agreement with the Reds, with the 32-year-old out of contract at the end of the campaign. It is thought that United are keen for De Gea to remain at the club but want the goalkeeper to take a pay cut.

The report claims De Gea - who is one of United's top earners - remains 'happy' at Old Trafford, but has been disappointed with the contract offers made to him. It adds that talks between the two parties are still ongoing as the Reds look to avoid losing the former Atletico Madrid man in the summer.

De Gea has been a mainstay for Erik ten Hag's side this season, registering 47 appearances across all competitions. He helped United win the Carabao Cup in February - the club's first title since 2017 - and has managed 21 clean sheets. He has kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League this term and will be aiming to win the Golden Glove award.

Elsewhere, the Sun have reported that Besiktas want to re-sign Wout Weghorst from Burnley in the summer transfer window as a permanent move to United looks uncertain.

The Netherlands international, who signed for Ten Hag's side on loan in January, has endured a difficult few months at Old Trafford - scoring just two goals in his 22 appearances. Weghorst came off the bench in the Reds' 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.
