David de Gea backed to get new Man United contract but warned about Erik ten Hag verdict

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has been backed to receive a new contract at Old Trafford, with his current deal technically expiring at the end of the campaign.

The Spanish shot-stopper, who signed for the Reds from Atletico Madrid in 2011, has made 498 appearances for United in all competitions, and has been the club's first-choice goalkeeper for several years.
