Dave Cormack offers Aberdeen transfer update to the 'impatient' as he teases up to FOUR new arrivals

Dave Cormack has told "impatient" Aberdeen fans that they are close to three, maybe four new signings.

The Dons are tooling up for a crack at the Europa League group stage. They travel to Sweden next week for the first leg of their playoff round showdown against Hacken. Victory for Barry Robson's men over two legs will see them through to the Europa League proper. Defeat, and there's still the safety net of the Europa Conference League groups.

Chairman Cormack has once again taken to Twitter in order to offer fans an update on where Aberdeen are at with incoming transfers. And it's set to be a busy last ten days of the transfer window with the Pittodrie club hopeful of adding up to four more new faces. he tweeted: "We are close on signing two or three players, with a fourth a 'possibility' by the end of the window.

"Yes, we’re all impatient, none more so than me, but it has to be quality over quantity. By the end of this window, we will have signed 12 or 13 players, almost all of whom were under contract versus free agents.

"Alan Burrows and myself will do our best to provide information when we can. I don’t know of any other club in the Premiership whose directors do it, but we firmly believe it’s the right thing to do.

"Let’s be thankful that our U-14 boys pulled off an incredible elite tournament win in Holland this weekend. These boys and coaches are rightly over the moon and deserve all of our praise tonight.

"And let’s be thankful Barry and his team pulled off an incredible end to the season where we have European football until December. And we’re in the QF of the league cup."
