Dapo Afolayan back on preferred left flank? Bolton Wanderers predicted team vs Doncaster Rovers

Bolton Wanderers top scorer Dapo Afolayan could be in line to return to the starting team when the Whites take on Doncaster Rovers this afternoon.

Wanderers head to Yorkshire to take on Donny today for a 3pm kick-off in League One with four games left to go of their campaign.

They are aiming to finish as high up the top half of the League One table as possible, while Gary McSheffrey's side are fighting to remain in the division.

Wanderers have been boosted by the return of defender Declan John and attacker Afolayan, who have both recovered from hamstring problems.

Bolton will be without influential midfielder Kieran Lee for the remainder of the campaign owing to recovery from a heel spur operation, while Kyle Dempsey is closing in on a return but today's game could well be too soon for him.

For the clash against Gary McSheffrey's Doncaster, James Trafford could start once again as goalkeeper, while the back four could be unchanged and line up once again as Gethin Jones, Will Aimson, George Johnston and Declan John, the latter of whom is fit to play after shaking off a hamstring problem.

With Dempsey still out of action, the central midfield duo could once again be MJ Williams and Aaron Morley.

Jon Dadi Bodvarsson could start once again in the number 10 position providing he has recovered from a back issue, behind main striker Dion Charles.

Elias Kachunga is likely to be a contender to start on the right, while Afolayan could return to the team from the start on his preferred position on the left flank, having been an unused substitute against the Owls last week.
