Dalbeattie Gun Club holds Scott Carson Memorial Shoot

Eighteen competitors including a junior took part in the Scott Carson Memorial shoot at Little Cloak Farm, Dalbeattie on Saturday.

The weather was a bit overcast but it remained dry throughout the afternoon.

The High Gun for the day was Tom Galashan with a score of 142x150 and he received the Scott Carson Memorial Shield.

He was the highest scorer in event one with 74x75 to take the Event One Trophy and was also the highest scoring veteran.

Event Two Trophy was won by Avon McKeand on 69x75.

The junior winner was Oliver Stuart on 93x150.

There was a good number of entries at the pool trap although down on numbers due to a few on holiday etc, however, Stuart Nichol triumphed with a perfect eight.

Event 2 – 69 pts: A McKeand, B Moffat. 68 pts: T Galashan. 66 pts: S Nichol, R Miller. 65 pts: B Renwick.
