Cyriel Dessers branded a Rangers waster as hostile Hotline zeroes in on Jefte moment that shows priorities are all wrong

After a Champions League exit saw millions of much needed pounds slip through Rangers' fingers in midweek, patience from fans has run out.

Jefte's sending was a howler from Italian ref Marco Guida, but the Hotline is looking past the ropey red card to chances missed and i's Cyriel Dessers in the firing line, along with his Brazilian teammate. The Nigerian front man got oof the mark against motherwell but punters are fed up of missed chances in big moments and are demanding a striker who can produce when it really matters.

And Lawrence Shankland was once again on the lips of the Rangers support. Robert Livingstone, Palm Beach, said: "We are hearing all the player had a meeting to thrash out how they failed to progress in the Champions league. Clement wants to wake up and tell himself without a quality No 9 there's very little future for him, when he keeps playing a waster like Dessers. Rangers should have scored goals against Kyiv."

Paddy Gowans, emailed: "I don't think Rangers have got any money to sign new players surely if they did they would have signed Shankland because if Dessers is a striker then I am the next prime minister."

One caller didn't let Jefte off the hook three days on after his Champions League red card. Fans and pundits alike were left gobsmacked by the referee handing him his marching orders for a second yellow card. Ridvan Yilmaz's injury could see him become an important player at left-back - but one Hampden moment against Dynamo Kyiv didn't sit well.

Stevie, Blantyre said: "After Jefte getting sent off. He goes to the dressing room, has a shower, fixes his hai,r puts his diamond earrings
