Christine McGuinness reveals moment that led to life-changing move with Paddy before split

Celebrity MasterChef's Christine McGuinness has opened up about one of the "breaking points" in her marriage with ex Paddy McGuinness, which led to a big change in their lives.

The duo parted ways in 2022 after more than 10 years of marriage, yet they still share a home. Just before announcing their split, Christine had released an autobiography revealing a major "meltdown" she experienced.

Christine was residing in Bolton with Take Me Out host Paddy but felt increasingly isolated as she "didn't know anybody" in the Greater Manchester town.

The situation was exacerbated by Paddy's frequent commutes from their home to London for work commitments. This led Christine to confront her then-husband, insisting that she "can't stay here anymore" and was prepared to leave Bolton with or without him.

Subsequently, the couple relocated to Cheshire. In her 2021 memoir 'A Beautiful Nightmare', penned prior to their separation, Christine expressed: "These days we live in Cheshire, which we absolutely love and there's no doubt in our minds that this is the area where we're supposed to be," reports the Express.

She claimed their move to her having a "Our move to this area all stemmed from me having a mini meltdown when the twins were one."

Christine McGuinness has spoken candidly about her initial reservations upon moving to a county known for its high-profile residents, including Premier League footballers. However, she and her husband were quickly welcomed with invitations to local parties and BBQs.

Christine even became part of The Real Housewives of Cheshire cast between 2018 and 2020.
