Cyberpunk 2077 1.6 Update: Everything We Know So Far

Cyberpunk 2077 1.5 Update heralded a major change to the overall scope and perceptibility of the originally-maligned title, but what can fans expect for the 1.6 version of the game?

Previous Updates to the CDPR RPG have worked on a myriad of issues in terms of bugs, but now the game appears to be in a far more workable state overall.

Patches going forward will hopefully be looking towards adding more content to the game, and it’s worth knowing what you can expect ahead of time!

Here is everything that we currently know about the Cyberpunk 2077 1.6 Update and what fans can expect to see when it drops.

There is not currently an official release date for the 1.6 update of the game. According to an earnings call back in April 2022, the update will be available in the “coming months.”

CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kicinski revealed on the call: “Our focus will gradually shift to new exciting endeavours in both Cyberpunk and The Witcher franchise. Right now, the bulk of our teams are working on the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion that is targeted to be released in 2023.”

Kicinski would go on to confirm during the call that the 1.6 Update and Patch would be coming in 2022.

As of writing (Wednesday 11th May 2022), there is not currently an official release of the Patch Notes for Cyberpunk 2077 1.6 Patch.

It’s likely that we will not see the actual Patch Notes being made available until a couple of days ahead of the actual release of the update itself.
