"Crystal Palace would want huge, huge money" - Michael Bridge drops claim on exit-linked star

Crystal Palace would want “huge money” if they were to sell Marc Guehi this summer, says Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

The defender is thought to be attracting interest from Tottenham, but Bridge thinks it would take a massive fee to get him out of Selhurst Park.

Last month, the Daily Mail reported that Guehi had caught the attention of Tottenham.

The 21-year-old, who is valued at £60m by the CIES Football Observatory, joined Palace from Chelsea last July and enjoyed a fantastic debut season in south London.

He missed just two Premier League games all campaign and came in for a lot of praise after his displays in defence helped the Eagles to a 12th-placed finish.

“He’s a joy to play alongside for sure. He is quite a reserved character but he leads by example,” Joel Ward said on BBC’s Monday Night Club (via All Football App) when discussing his Palace team-mate.

Bridge says Palace would want a massive offer for Guehi this summer, while he also thinks Tottenham will be keen to see the centre-back play another season in the Premier League before making a bid for him.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the Sky Sports reporter said: “I think Crystal Palace would want huge, huge money, and maybe they’d [Tottenham] want to watch him again for another season, but I really like him.

“I’ve spoken so many times about how good I think Palace’s recruitment was last season, and him and Gallagher were the main reasons for that. He’s a really good defender.”

It is pivotal. Despite only arriving at the club last year, Guehi is already a crucial cog in this Palace team.
