Crystal Palace want promising Rangers kid Calum Adamson with teenager offered Ibrox deal amid Premier League interest

Crystal Palace are amongst a number of English Premier League clubs who are keen on Rangers youngster Calum Adamson.

The promising midfielder is currently impressing with Scotland under-16s out in Cyprus. Crystal Palace and several other English top flights have had him watched as he has impressed against Denmark and England this week. The Eagles are also aware Adamson has been offered a professional deal at Rangers but has yet to commit. Palace have been watching his performances for Rangers over the past couple of months.

The London club is keeping a close eye on emerging talent north of the border. They recently signed midfielder Dylan Reid from St Mirren and previously have taken winger Scott Banks from Dundee United. Several of Adamson’s 2007 teammates signed professional forms with Rangers earlier this month. The Ibrox side are still hoping to convince Adamson to join them and not make the London move.

Youth development is a key pillar of the Rangers strategy after a host of arrivals to several of their academy sides in the last 12 months. 16-year-old Bailey Rice debuted for the senior team at Livingston last weekend.
