Cristiano Ronaldo suffers huge downgrade on Football Manager 2022 following Winter Update

Following a severe drop in form, Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed a huge downgrade on Football Manager 2022 in the Winter Update.

Sports Interactive, the makers of the hugely popular football management simulation game Football Manager 2022, confirmed the release of the Main Winter Update on On Thursday, February 24, 2022. There's a brand new Versus mode now available for FM22 as part of the update, with players now also able to load up and use an updated database (22.3.0) for their new save games, which features all of the updated transfers around the world and some big attribute changes, depending on their real-life form.

And in the new Winter Update FM22 database (22.3.0), United striker Ronaldo has seen both his current ability (CA) and individual attributes significantly downgraded, following a disappointing individual campaign so far, by his exceptionally high standards.

Manchester Evening News understands that United manager Rangnick has major reservations about the prospect of Ronaldo spearheading the club's attack next season, with sources saying Rangnick's patience is wearing thin with the four-time Champions League winner.

Following the Reds' 0-0 draw with Watford on Saturday, Ronaldo has now scored just two goals in his last 11 appearances in all competitions for Ralf Rangnick's side, with those goals coming against Burnley and Brighton. The forward's goal tally now stands at 15 for the season, in a total of 29 appearances in all competitions.

At 37 years old, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's influence finally seems to be waning, with Ronaldo looking a frustrated and exasperated figure on the pitch in recent weeks, particularly in the 0-0 draw against the Hornets on Saturday.
