Cristiano Ronaldo suffers 12-year first after Manchester United defeat to Atletico

Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will end the year without a trophy for the first time since 2010.

Having completed a sensational return move to Old Trafford last summer, the 37-year-old has scored 18 goals this season from 32 appearances in all competitions. However, the Portuguese was powerless to stop United crashing out of the Champions League on Tuesday night.
