Corrie fans crying again after 'cruel' Faye Windass exit as star Ellie Leach shares heartfelt message to co-star Colson Smith
Coronation Street fans had a strong reaction to emotional final scenes for Faye Windass as she waved goodbye to the cobbles. Faye, played by Ellie Leach, headed off in a taxi driven by her dad Tim Metcalfe to start a new life in Slough with Jackson Hodge and their daughter Miley, who she gave up as a baby after falling pregnant when she was 12.
In a tearful heart-to-heart Faye's besotted fiance Craig Tinker, played by Colson Smith, decided to let go after realising her feelings for her ex. He urged in Wednesday night's episode of the soap "go on, what are you waiting for?" as he told her she would always be wondering "what if?" if they stayed together.
But as the happy reunited family drove off the street, Faye ordered her dad to stop the car as she spotted Craig walking by and jumped out. Some fans wondered if Faye might have changed her mind, and Tim looked worried too.

But she just wanted to say a final goodbye to her Craig, who has been by her side since they were childhood friends and even when she secretly went into labour with Miley.
Giving Craig a warm hug she said: "I love you and always will." She told him: "Thank you for everything Craig Tinker. Thank you for all that we've been through and for everything we've done together. I wouldn't be the person that I am without you."
