Coronation Street Vicky Myers confirms soap future and teases details about DS Swain's life with 'love interest' on street

Coronation Street star Vicky Myers has confirmed she's now a regular on the cobbles after originally only signing up for eight episodes as DS Lisa Swain. The detective sergeant was first seen in 2021 when she led the police investigation into the assaults on Nina Lucas and Seb Franklin which led to the latter's death.

More recently viewers of the ITV soap have seen Swain face backlash from Daisy Midgeley after the police didn't stop her stalker Justin Rutherford before he launched a horrific acid attack on her wedding day and was also seen hunting down serial killer Stephen Reid back in October, only for him to be ploughed into and killed on the street by Peter Barlow.

But next week, DS Swain is back on the cobbles investigating the disappearance of Lauren Bolton. Bobby hasn't let the sudden exit of his new love interest from the street go and in upcoming scenes, Bobby records an appeal with Suki from the Gazette in a bid to find Lauren.

In the meantime, Evelyn Plummer tells Roy that she's had to let Laurn's flat go as the landlord discovered she'd been sub-letting. Wanting to help out a mate, Roy offers to clean up the mess but Bobby is suspicious when he finds him going through Lauren's things.

Later, Bobby suggests Sean should think about renting Lauren’s old flat but when Sean says he saw what looked like blood on the curtains Carla and Bobby head straight for the police station and tell DS Swain. Soon, DS Swain and PC Tinker let themselves into Lauren’s flat and survey the extent of the blood stains and it's not long before the police decide to launch a murder investigation
