Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien involved in 'unprovoked incident' outside Stockport home

Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien was allegedly 'the victim of an unprovoked incident' outside her home in Stockport.

The 40-year-old actress, who lives in Bramhall, was reportedly involved in an incident last Friday (March 15). Footage of the alleged incident, which has been published by the Sun, appeared to show Tina caught in the middle of a brawl.

A spokesperson for Tina, who plays Sarah Barlow aka Platt in the ITV soap, told the Mirror said had reported the incident to police. They described the incident as 'unprovoked'.

The spokesperson said: "Tina was the victim of an unprovoked incident outside her home which she has reported to the police." A source close to the actress also said she had been left 'deeply disturbed' by the incident, according to reports.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said in a statement: "Officers are investigating reports of an assault in the Stockport area, between 8 and 9pm on 15 March 2024. No arrests have been made, with enquiries currently ongoing."

Tina rose to fame as Sarah Platt in Coronation Street after joining the cobbles when she was 16. She lives with her husband Adam Crofts and her two children.

She shares a son Beau with her husband and also has a 15-year-old daughter Scarlett with former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas. Tina joined the ITV soap in 1999 and starred as Sarah until 2008.

During her break from the cobbles she appeared on Waterloo Road. Her daughter Scarlett now stars as Izzy Charles, the on-screen daughter of her uncle Adam Thomas, in the BBC drama.
