Coronation Street star delights fans with 'back' update and teases 'chaos'

Coronation Street star Amy Robbins has delighted fans as she confirmed her return to the cobbles. Viewers will remember the actress for her brief role in and about the ITV soap as Christina Boyd, which started back in January 2023.

Christina is the long-lost mother of Daisy Midgeley, who first arrived on the cobbles as Jenny Connor's former step-daughter in 2020 and has since made Weatherfield her home, recently becoming the co-owner of the Rovers Return with Jenny in fraudulent circumstances.

But back to Christina and she was last seen in Weatherfield back in November when she lied for her daughter back to help cover her affair with Ryan Connor from then fiancé Daniel Osbourne - which has since been exposed with Daniel since rekindling a romance with Bethany Platt while Daisy and Ryan have decided to give a relationship a go.

Christine did make an exit before Daisy and Daniel split for good but it seems things have not thawed for the mother and daughter in the months since as Daisy is not happy to see her mother in upcoming scenes - even after a lie to Ryan and others.

After Daisy and Jenny recently bought the pub using the money killer Stephen Reid had stolen from Carla Connor's factory before his death, they had to come up with a fake story about how they secured the money. So Daisy suggested her mother gave her the money and that was what they used to get back the Rovers after it's sale to Newton and Ridley then Waterfords.

But Daisy's lie could be rumbled in upcoming episode of Corrie when Ryan lest slip to Christina about the money and the pub. When Christina arrives,
