Coronation Street's Samia Longchambon says 'please' as she asks for fans' help after positive update

Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has asked for her fans' help as she shared a positive update on social media. The actress revealed she's among those nominated in the upcoming Inside Soap Awards.

Samia, who is famed for playing Maria Windass - nee Sutherland and Connor - in the ITV soap, has been named in the 'Best Actress' alongside Corrie co-stars Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah Habeeb, and Dee-Dee Bailey actress Channique Sterling-Brown.

Her on-screen son Charlie Wrenshall, who plays Liam Connor, is also nominated in the Best Young Performer category alongside his pal and co-star Liam McCheyne, who fans will know for playing Weatherfield's Dylan Wilson.

Following the reveal of the nominees and opening of the voting system, Samia shared a post to her Instagram Story, alongside which she wrote: "Please take a minute to vote all things Corrie... Really flattered to be nominated among some fab actors."

Meanwhile, Samia's husband has also shared his support. The Dancing on Ice star shared a snap of his wife to his Instagram Story and wrote: "My lovely @samia_longchambon is up for an award so if you have a minute, here's the link to support her and @coronationstreet. Merci!"

It comes after Samia shared her pride for her 'TV son' as he picked up an award for his emotional and challenging bullying storyline. Charlie Wrenshall was recently seen portraying Liam's plight as he was horrendously bullied.
