Coronation Street's Samia Longchambon told 'it's great' as she shows 'real' self away from cobbles
Coronation Street fans have rushed to respond as Samia Longchambon gave a glimpse of her 'real' self away from the cobbles. The actress appears to have been enjoying the summer so far after a heavy start to the year for her Weatherfield character.
Samia, who is famed for playing Maria Windass - nee Sutherland and Connor - in the ITV soap, has recently been nominated for 'Best Actress' alongside Corrie co-stars Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah Habeeb, and Dee-Dee Bailey actress Channique Sterling-Brown at this year's Inside Soap Awards.
It comes after she portrayed her character's torment as her son Liam Connor, played by teenager Charlie Wrenshall, was cruelly bullied by Weatherfield High ringleader Mason Radcliffe and his mates, leading to him heartbreakingly considering taking his own life.

Charlie is also nominated in the Best Young Performer category alongside his pal and co-star Liam McCheyne, who fans will know for playing Weatherfield's Dylan Wilson.
But away from the heavy storyline, it appears Samia has been enjoying some light relief with a trip away alongside her Dancing on Ice star husband Sylvain Longchambon and friends, as well as making the most of life's little pleasures including the sunny weather and a piece of cake.
She shared a string of images taken throughout July on Instagram, alongside which she gave a run down of what she'd been up to. Samia said: "July round up. 1. Mallorca. 2. After dinner selfie @mrsjodiem. 3. My Dahlias settling in well at home. 4. BTS at @insidesoapmagazine shoot.. don’t forget to vote all things
