Coronation Street's Rowan star Emrhys Cooper lines up role away from cobbles after soap future hope

Coronation Street's Emrhys Cooper has revealed he's secured another role in the UK after moving back from Los Angeles and landing a part in the ITV soap.

Fans first saw the actor on-screen as Rowan back in March when Leanne Battersby accompanied Simon Barlow to one of his seminars at the Chariot Square Hotel. Leanne was taken aback when the group mentor approached her and offered her some unsolicited advice as she dealt with some problems at home.

Leanne has since become further involved in The Institute and there was a shock for disapproving sister Toyah Habeeb and partner Nick Tilsley when it was revealed the group was providing her with technology that allows her to 'talk' to an AI version of her late son, Oliver, who tragically died in 2020.

Rowan has since continued to manipulate Leanne and try and silence her family after resorting to blackmail to get Toyah to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) after she was bad-mouthing The Institute.

But while the storyline continues to unfold on screen, with Leanne being promoted within the group and Amy Barlow looking set to become the latest member, it appears Emrhys is looking ahead to his next role as it was revealed he'd be joining the world of panto later this year.

It's been announced that the 39-year-old will star as Prince Fredrick in St Helens Theatre Royal's production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which will run from November 30, 2024, to January 12, 2025.

Sharing the news, the theatre said: "JUST ANNOUNCED! Isn’t he dreamy?! SWOON! Coronation Street’s @emrhyscooper stars as Prince Fredrick in
