Coronation Street's DS Lisa Swain star declares love for Emmerdale 'sister' as link uncovered

Coronation Street star Vicky Myers has shared her love for Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley after the latter showed her support. The actress is continuing to win praise for her portrayal of DS Lisa Swain in the ITV soap.

Back in March, the actress confirmed she's now a regular on the cobbles after originally only signing up for eight episodes. The detective sergeant was first seen in 2021 when she led the police investigation into the assaults on Nina Lucas and Seb Franklin which led to the latter's death.

Last year, viewers of the ITV soap saw Swain face backlash from Daisy Midgeley after the police didn't stop her stalker Justin Rutherford before he launched a horrific acid attack on her wedding day and was also seen hunting down serial killer Stephen Reid back in October, only for him to be ploughed into and killed on the street by Peter Barlow.

Now, Swain is in the think of the action as after trying to get to the bottom of Lauren's disappearance - and presumed death - before her shock return to Weatherfield after five months, she's been trying to pin Joel Deering for his crimes.

However, with Joel missing and presumed to have taken his own life, Swain has been taken off the case after Kit Green revealed he'd found text messages in which Joel threatened to kill her daughter Betsy.
