Coronation Street fans think they have spotted a couple of blunders that could help Toyah Batterby's case as she faces crippling court fees amid backlash from the Institute. As viewers of the ITV soap know, the character has been railing against the Institute due to her sister Leanne's involvement.

Earlier this week, Toyah was seen sharing a kiss with Nick Tilsley as they bond over their struggles at getting partner and sister Leanne to see any wrong in mentor Rownan Cunliffe and the Institute, particularly following the recent discovery that she's been talking to an AI version of her late son, Oliver, as provided to her by the group.

During Wednesday night's trip to the cobbles, viewers saw Leanne return home after spending the night away from Nick after he issued an ultimatum, saying she must choose between her family and the Institute.

Leanne was quickly questioned over the nature of her relationship with Rown but she insisted she would never be unfaithful to Nick, making him feel more guilty for kissing Toyah, with the pair later agreeing that their kiss was a mistake.

However, Nick and Toyah were soon left furious when Leanne walked out on a busy lunch service at the Bistro because Rowan turned up with something to show her. Rowan took Leanne to a hotel where he was joined by The Institute's CEO Willow who revealed that Leanne would soon be allowed to recruit new members to the group.
