Coronation Street fans figure out 'plot twist' as Nathan Curtis' role in Lauren case 'confirmed' with 'accomplice'

Coronation Street fans think they have figured out a 'plot twist' in the Lauren Bolton storyline as Nathan Curtis' involvement was 'confirmed'. It's been several years since Nathan was last seen on screen in the ITV soap after he was jailed for grooming Bethany Platt as part of a sex trafficking ring.

But as the investigation into Lauren's disappearance - and suspected murder - continues, Nathan's unlikely appearance shook Bethany to the core. The recently returned character, played by Lucy Fallon, was disbelieved by her boyfriend Daniel Osbourne when she said she'd seen her former abuser during the reconstruction of Lauren's last movements.

So when Nicky Wheatley called round and revealed that she was off to meet a girl called Ellie who was groomed as a teenager and might have information about Lauren, Bethany followed, adamant that they must all know about Nathan.

She ended up disrupting Nicky's chat with the vulnerable woman, mentioning Nathan and that she knew what she was going through. Ellie ran away and Nicky was furious that she jeopardised her position of helping sex workers but Bethany was still convinced that Nathan was hiding something to do with Lauren.

During Friday's (May 10) Corrie, Nathan's release from prison was confirmed with Bethany headed to the building site nearby. She confronted Nathan about what she thought he had done to Lauren and as he denied any wrongdoing and threatened to call the police, she stole his phone and soon headed for the police station after realising he had an O-Vidz account and had subscribed to teenager
