Coronation Street fans were left fearing DS Lisa Swain would be 'hated' as they spotted her untimely move. The character has been burning the candle at both ends trying to solve crime, improve her relationship with her daughter and battle her feelings for Carla Connor.
And it all came to a head during Wednesday night's (November 27) edition of the ITV soap. Earlier this week, Corrie viewers saw Underworld boss Carla was left fighting for her life earlier this week after being attacked during a robbery at the factory.
Lisa's daughter Betsy Swain was seen trying to help pal Mason Radcliffe by getting his brothers, Matty and Logan, off his back as they start to spread their terrorisation across the street. She told Mason that his troublesome brothers were no longer a concern due to a deal she had made with them.

It was later revealed that Betsy had set it up so that the brothers could burgle the knicker factory in exchange for leaving Mason alone. Betsy got her moment to execute her plan as a bonding day took place for the factory workers, meaning the workplace was empty - or that was until Carla returned.
