Coronation Street fans cast 'unpopular' verdict on Nick and Toyah as star issues four-word message

Coronation Street fans have been casting what could be described as an unexpected verdict on Nick Tilsley and Toyah Battersby as the pair shared a snog after hints of an affair brewing between the pair.

Viewers of the ITV soap have previously predicted the pair could find solace in one another after Toyah shared her heartbreaking secret as it was uncovered that she'd given birth to a stillborn baby girl when she was a teen after being raped by her friend Phil Simmonds.

But their kiss also comes as Nick and Toyah bond over their struggles with getting partner and sister Leanne Battersby to see any wrong in Rownan Cunliffe and 'the Institute'.

During Monday night's (June 10) Corrie, viewers saw Toyah receive a mysterious delivery of yellow roses, the same flower she'd lay at the self-made grave for her daughter, and was quick to assume that Rowan must have been behind sending them as a warning as he tries to silence her sabotage of 'the Institute'.

When Leanne was confronted by her sister as well as Nick, she admitted she was the one who grassed on Toyah to her new spiritual mentor, leading to Toyah storming out. Nick, mwanwhole, stuck around and made it clear that Leanne was putting their relationship at risk and told her that she needed to choose between The Insitute or their impending marriage.

But Nick was later left disappointed when he found Leanne with her bags packed, telling him that Rowan had arranged somewhere for her to stay for a little while. Once she was gone, Toyah shared a bottle of wine with Nick and as they chatted, the pair agreed the only
