Corinthian sack manager Keith McMahon with the club 15th in the Southern Counties East Premier Division

Corinthian have sacked manager Keith McMahon - despite an impressive weekend victory.

The Hoops came from a goal down to win 3-2 at second-placed Larkfield & New Hythe in the Southern Counties East Premier Division on Saturday.

But two days later, they have announced the departure of McMahon, who succeeded long-serving boss Michael Golding last summer.

“Corinthian FC can confirm they have parted ways with first-team manager Keith McMahon with immediate effect,” said a club statement.

“We would like to thank Keith for his efforts whilst at the club and wish him well for the future.

“Corinthian FC will provide further updates regarding the first-team management in due course.”

McMahon leaves the Hoops 15th in the SCEFL Premier Division, with six wins, seven draws and 11 defeats from his 24 league games in charge.

Corinthian are next in action at home to Holmesdale on Saturday, February 7.
