Conor McGregor UFC return: New physique photo shows he's already trimming down

Despite losing his last two fights, UFC star Conor McGregor has seemingly been on a muscle gaining mission ever since suffering a broken leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier last year.

Since said injury, Notorious has been busy in the gym, and on social media, but that’s nothing new, and has seriously stacked up. At one point, weighing as much as 190lbs, according to the man himself.

However, the Irishman will have to cut back down to 155lbs if he wishes to return to the lightweight division, a return that is thought to be in the pipeline for later this year.

Losing in the first round via doctor’s stoppage to rival Poirier in July of 2021 served as a low point in McGregor’s professional career. Coupled with a broken tibia, the confident and often loudmouthed McGregor was forced to retreat from the spotlight. Many questioned if he would even return to the sport after a daunting defeat and devastating injury.

Still, McGregor has continually hinted at his return to the cage and has recently told fans that his return to UFC was ‘back on schedule’ and that he will begin sparring again within the next month.

In a recent social media advertisement for his brand Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey, McGregor was seen doing weighted pull-ups in time for St Patrick’s day, and it’s very noticeable just how much muscle and weight he’s lost ever since piling it on during his injury.

Take a look at the video below and the screenshot of his physique, then compare it to the image above and how he looked not too long ago.
