Conor McGregor reveals why he wasn't at WrestleMania in typical tweet

The biggest star in UFC history Conor McGregor has recently expressed his interest in crossing over into another combat sport.

Last weekend saw WrestleMania 38 take place at the AT&T Stadium in Texas and it’s seemingly caught the eye of a certain Irishman.

In what was a jaw-dropping weekend of action, it has inspired many athletes to express their desire to compete under the promotion.

‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor took to Twitter to have his say on last weekend’s action over in Texas, revealing why he wasn’t at the event in a typical Conor McGregor tweet.

“Why wasn’t I at WrestleMania? They all fear me, that’s why.”

McGregor has not fought since his defeat to Dustin Poirier back in July of 2021 at UFC 264.

On that night, the Irishman suffered a brutal injury, in what has meant that he hasn’t been able to compete since.

Recently, McGregor has stated that he will be able to spar fully this month and is targeting a return to action in the summer.

The likes of Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal, Kamaru Usman and Charles Oliveira are just a few names that Conor is eyeing up on his first fight back.

Although the Irishman isn’t looking to make the switch just yet, it may be something that he considers before calling it quits. As of right now, McGregor has aspirations of becoming a UFC champion once again.

Conor became the first UFC fighter to simultaneously hold two titles. He first won the title at UFC 194 following a first-round KO over Jose Aldo.

His second title came at UFC 205 after a sensational win over Eddie Alvarez to claim the lightweight title.

With McGregor aiming to compete in WWE, there have only been a few UFC stars who have made the crossover and have competed in WWE.

Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Dan
