Conor McGregor praises Jiri Prochazka after his UFC 275 title win over Glover Teixeira
UFC star Conor McGregor had high praise for Jiri Prochazka following the latter’s win at UFC 275.
On Saturday night in Singapore, Jiri Prochazka did what he said he would do – he defeated Glover Teixeira to capture the UFC light heavyweight championship.
The Czech star had to overcome some real adversity in pretty much every round of the fight and even in the fifth, it seemed as if the Brazilian was close to knocking ‘BJP’ out before Prochazka was able to rally and eventually secure an unlikely submission triumph.
The win opens up the door to some incredible possibilities at 205 pounds and, in addition to that, also gives Jiri an even greater chance of becoming a household name known around the world in mixed martial arts.
The 29-year-old is thriving inside the Octagon and the same is true of what he’s doing out of it, with one such example of that being his association with Paradigm Sports.
Another man who is part of that team is none other than Conor McGregor and in a recent series of tweets, the Irishman had nothing but nice things to say about Prochazka and his rise to the top.
“Big fight night for the Czech Republic! The @ufc ! World f***ing domination!”
“Paradigm’s Sports NEWEST! And the Czech Republic’s FIRST! UFC World Champion! The indomitable samurai, @jiri_bjp ! What a fight! What a performance! Huge congrats. @ParadigmSports”
