Conor McGregor & Georges St-Pierre: Physiques compared by UFC fans

The UFC has seen some insane athletes walk through its doors through the years.

Everyone who competes there has a common goal which is to be the best in their weight division. For some, championships are more important, where others prefer the financial boost that being a good fighter can bring.

There are many factors which drive people to achieve glory in the Octagon and the product of that is some all-time great competitors.

One of those legendary names to have come through the UFC is Georges St-Pierre. He is widely regarded as one of the best fighters in MMA history. The Canadian won championships in two divisions, having captured belts at both welterweight and middleweight.

He retired as the welterweight champion in 2013 with the record for the most wins in title bouts. It wasn’t until four years later that he came out of retirement to fight Michael Bisping. This was a clash of two veterans of the UFC which led to St-Pierre winning the middleweight title and becoming the fourth man in history to be a multi-divisional champion.

There is no doubting St-Pierre’s greatness in the Octagon, but someone else who has a claim to being the greatest is Conor McGregor.

Similarly, McGregor has held two championships simultaneously, having been a featherweight and lightweight champion. He’s a huge mainstream star and still makes intermittent appearances in the Octagon.

It’s unclear when McGregor will next fight, but he hasn’t officially retired, unlike GSP, who is a UFC Hall of Famer in the modern wing. Despite being retired, many people are still hugely impressed with the shape St-Pierre is in. In fact, some fans online have gone as far as to compare the physiques of GSP and McGregor.
