Conor McGregor vs Khabib UFC 229: Eagle's death stare after Dana White's confession

Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the all-time great UFC rivalries, with the pair’s disdain for one another captivating fans around the world with their war of words and then fight in the Octagon.

When the pair finally got round to battling it out in the Octagon, the Russian came out on top which saw him eventually retire from the sport with a perfect record, but the same can’t be said for his rival.

Notorious has been struggling as of late which has seen him lose three fights from his last four outings, including a broken leg in his most recent fight last year, with a return still not lined up for the Irishman despite being back to full fitness.

After the Russian forced his opponent to submit in the fourth round, absolute carnage ensued, with all the bitter words in the build-up boiling over.

Khabib scaled the Octagon after his win and started fighting with McGregor’s team, punching one of the Irishman’s team members, Dillon Danis.

Obvisouly, McGregor responded and both sides were just brawling it out around the arena, needing to be separated before the post-fight formalities could continue.

After everything had calmed down to some degree, UFC president Dana White was talking to Khabib, explaining to him that he won’t be giving him the championship belt he had just won in the Octagon, he would likely have to get it backstage.

The Russian was clearly frustrated with what was happening as he was desperate to mark his crowning moment with the crown itself in front of the crowd.

However, Dana White had other ideas, explaining to his fighter: “This is what I believe, if I put this belt on you, everyone is going to start throwing s**t into the Octagon.”
