Conor Coady sets Rangers transfer sleuths' tongues wagging as Beale connection gets rumour mill spinning for Wolves star

Conor Coady has set off a chain of fan theories that a move to Rangers could be in the works.

The England international is heading back to Wolves after Everton didn't take up an option to sign him permanently in a £4.5m deal, following a Goodison Park loan spell. But posting to his Instagram story, the defender has taken a photo of his three kids, with two in Italian strips, and one in Rangers blue.

With a big Michael Beale rebuild underway at Ibrox, some past connections have worked some into a frenzy. Coady was a Liverpool youngster while the Rangers boss was a youth coach at Anfield, and his comments of adding 'a bit of grey hair in our new signings' have poured fuel on the fire. One fan was not so sure, saying he would 'be on a wage outwith our budget I imagine' but another reckons that can be solved as 'Beale would work his magic.'

It would be a 'Major coup if Rangers pull it off according to one and any potential deal would be 'a great signing both on & off the pitch.' Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling are the two confirmed arrivals so far.
