The Rangers fans will still find a way to go the distance and follow their team. Of course, having to shift the goalposts away from Ibrox for the duration of August is a massive pain in the neck and the fans have every right to be angry. But I genuinely believe they’ve learned from the errors of the past and have been working diligently to ensure they’re never repeated. Look at the recruitment side. Previously, the board made the mistake of entrusting too much power in the hands of a couple of individuals - I’m sure I don’t need to spell out the names.

These days, though, they’ve spread the decision-making burden wider and opened up the discussions that take place before a penny is spent on new additions to ensure all the necessary due diligence is carried out.
