Community gathers to search for missing Joanne Jones in Pontypridd - live updates

A community has gathered today to search for missing woman Joanne Jones. People have set out to scour the Llanwonno forestry where the 49-year-old is believed to have set off for after leaving her home in Pontypridd. She was last seen around 9.45am on Monday, October 21.

She was last seem in Vale Gardens, Pontypridd but has not been heard from since. It is believed she headed onto Graigwen Road in the direction of Llanwonno Forest. CCTV shared by South Wales Police shows her wearing a dark green coat, black rucksack, leggings, and walking boots.

Community members met at a rugby club this morning to co-ordinate plans for the search, which is now into its fourth day. There are several police cars in the village of Ynysbwl including a territorial support team vehicle. Mountain rescue are also involved in searching the large wooded area.
