Comedian Joe Lycett shares adorable picture after becoming a dad, but some fans are convinced it's a prank

Joe Lycett has revealed he's become a dad and shared a picture of his newborn baby son.

Taking to Instagram, the comedian praised staff at a hospital for their 'care and compassion' - and praised the midwives involved as 'incredible'. The TV star took to his Instagram to praise Birmingham Women's Hospital and shared a snap of the tot cradled snugly in his arms.

He wrote: "An appreciation post from me for the extraordinary @bham_womens hospital. My first encounter with them was years ago when they looked after a pal of mine through surgery, and then most recently when they masterfully welcomed a little boy into the world, who happens to be my son.

"I am LOVING being a dad but sadly I think this now means I can’t get out of going on Rob and Josh’s f**king podcast. We will not be taking any press requests about this as we have already sold the rights to the first family picture to Autotrader." The star shared a snap of him outside cuddling the little one.

Friends and fans rushed to the comment section to congratulate the star, reports The Mirror, with Bimini Bon Boulash writing: "Amazing." Another user commented: "Omg Mummy’s actually a mummy!!! Congrats darlin’!" Birmingham Women's Hospital said: "Massive congratulations again to you all. We’re so proud to have supported you on this incredible life-changing milestone. We wish
