Coleen Rooney divulges hidden illness triggered at Wagatha trial as she tells of 'lowest point'

Coleen Rooney has spoken out about her hidden illness that became triggered during her 'Wagatha Christie' trial. The WAG found herself in court last summer after Rebekah Vardy sued her for libel. It all began in 2019 when Rooney accused Rebekah of leaking information about her private life to The Sun.

Coleen, the wife of former footballer Wayne Rooney, took to social media to reveal she'd set up fake stories on her Instagram, that only Rebekah, the wife of Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy, could see, which then ended up in the press. After the sting, she revealed her findings in a post shared on Instagram and Twitter.

But Rebekah denied the claims, and went on to sue her for libel. After a week-long trial at London’s High Court in May last year, the judge eventually ruled in Coleen's favour and dismissed the claim against her on July 29.

Now, the three-part series will uncover what was arguably one of the biggest tabloid news stories in the past decade, with Coleen herself speaking out on the ordeal. And despite Coleen winning the case, the whole process left her feeling admittedly "ashamed" at times, the Mirror reports.
