Cody Rhodes: Brandi Rhodes not expected to follow her husband to WWE

With the news of Cody Rhodes possible impending return to WWE generating abuzz around the industry, fans assumed he’d accompanied to the company by his wife Brandi.

The pair have been an almost permanent on-screen fixture in AEW since the company’s inception, however according to a new report from Sports Illustrated, Brandi Rhodes won’t be joining her husband in WWE right now.

Brandi has previously worked for the company, under the name Eden Stiles, both in 2011 and from 2013-2016 where she given the role as ring announcer on NXT, before going on to take the mic at WrestleMania 31 and then as back-up to Lilian Garcia on Monday Night Raw.

The report does not that Brandi’s in-ring career isn’t over, with Cody having previously mentioned his wife’s desire to win a major championship in professional wrestling.

Cody and Brandi announced they were leaving AEW on Tuesday and although nothing has been confirmed by WWE, it’s widely reported he is in talks with officials to make a return to the company. Where it’s expected he’ll be given a huge WrestleMania push by Vince McMahon upon signing.
