Clyde striker Martin Rennie takes SPFL prize after fruitful February

Clyde striker Martin Rennie has scooped the prize for League Two player of the month in a fruitful February.

The 29-year-old bagged a brace in both the 2-0 win over Dumbarton and 6-1 thrashing of Stenhousemuir to take his season's tally to 10 goals in the league.

His contributions have helped the Bully Wee keep their SPFL survival hopes alive, as Ian McCall's side have closed the gap on their rivals at the bottom of the table to five points.

A statement from Clyde read: "Martin Rennie has been announced as the cinch League 2 Player of the Month for February 2024.

"Martin scored four goals over the course of the month; doubles in victories over Dumbarton and Stenhousemuir, including a spectacular strike from long range against The Warriors.

"Congratulations Martin from all at the club!"

Clyde are in action this afternoon when they face an away clash with Forfar.
