Clubs 'chancing their arm' for Swansea City's Jamie Paterson transfer as Yan Dhanda offer confirmed

Russell Martin has confirmed Swansea City are yet to receive any bids for Jamie Paterson.

The attacker has missed his side's last three matches due to a contract dispute with the club's owners.

The Swans would accept an offer of around £750,000 to £1m for the 30-year-old - who is now contracted to the club until the summer of 2023.

But, with just days remaining until the winter window closes, the club are yet to receive an offer for the man who has eight goals and four assists to his name in 22 appearances this season.

When asked if the club have received offers for Paterson, Martin said: "As far as I know, no. There’s been a discussion or two.

"A few clubs chancing their arm to see if he’s available for no money or very little money, which isn’t the case because of how well he’s done here and he’s on an 18-month contract now.

"To this point, there’s absolutely been nothing."

Yan Dhanda is edging closer to leaving the club, with a loan move to either Burton Albion or Crewe Alexandra understood to be on the cards.

The former Liverpool star has struggled to force his way into the first team set-up on a regular basis since moving to south Wales in 2018.

And he is now set to see out the remained of his contract on loan.

"We’ve had an offer for Yan to go and play football that he’d like to take up," said Martin.

"I think we’re getting closer with that. A lot of things can change.

"Nothing is concrete yet. I expect him to go out and play somewhere. He’s been great around the place and found it really tough not to be involved.

"We’ve been really honest with each other, he understands. He nearly went out in the summer window on loan but he wanted to stay and fight to try and get in.
