"Clear and frank discussions": Insider claims £63m-rated Man Utd star facing uncertain future

Manchester United need to have “clear and frank” discussions with Marcus Rashford at the end of the season, claims journalist Dean Jones.

The 24-year-old’s future is currently up in the air amid a difficult campaign at Old Trafford.

Rashford is thought to be considering his future at United after falling out of favour under interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

It was reported last month by The Guardian that the English forward has grown unhappy with his lack of game time this term and is now considering asking for a move away from his boyhood club.

He was snubbed by Rangnick in United’s recent 1-1 draw against Leicester City despite the German being without Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani, showing just how low down he is in the pecking order right now.

Rashford was brought on as a second-half substitute, but the £63m-rated star not making the starting XI in the absence of Ronaldo and Cavani is quite telling.

Jones thinks things are leading up to a serious conversation between Rashford, the club and Rangnick’s successor.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the football journalist said: “I think they’re just going to have to have clear and frank discussions at the end of the season and once we know who the manager actually is. Until that appointment is made, we have no idea as to how Marcus Rashford fits in.”
