Claressa Shields vs Savannah Marshall: The Gloves Are Off is just as good as you'd expect

Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall couldn’t help but bicker like a pair of schoolgirls in the latest episode of ‘The Gloves Are Off’.

The duo will settle their differences on Saturday at London’s iconic O2 Arena with five middleweight world titles on the line in one of the biggest fights of the year so far.

In what’s being described as the biggest women’s fight of all time, Shields will put all five of her belts on the line against bitter rival Marshall.

The American is promoted by Dmitry Salita, who worked with Ben Shalom to get the deal over the line.

ALL THE INFO: Claressa Shields vs Savannah Marshall: Everything we know so far

Both Marshall and Shields have been gunning for this fight for many years, with the latter looking to avenge her defeat to the former in the amateur ranks in 2012.

Check out the video below…

Asked if she thinks Marshall has improved as a fighter since their last fight, she replied: “No I don’t, I think she’s got worse since 2012, her skill level and everything.

“When she was in America, she fought on one of the biggest cards, Mayweather vs McGregor – nobody remembers it. Nobody.

“Now she comes to the UK, her home town, her home country, and now she’s a knockout queen. But that’s the privilege of her being the Brit.”

On the other hand Marshall believes that Shields has come on leaps and bounds since their previous bout more than ten years ago.

She added: “I think she’s improved, yeah.

“I think she’s totally different from when we boxed in the amateurs.

“She boxes more as a pro now. She’s a better fighter from what she was in 2012.”
